Winter Fun with Jim
- What equipment is required?
You bring:
>Good pair of work/cowboy boots
>Gloves - Cotton
>Good Outerwear - there is no bad weather, only bad clothing
We provide:
>All the tack and equipment needed to perform at the school. You just need to bring along an open mind to having a lot of fun!
- What is the schedule on each course day?
The course day begins each weekend day at 9:00am. We break for lunch and questions at 1:00 for an hour and end the day at 4:00pm
- Will lunch be provided?
No, but we will go out to a local place for an hour of relaxation and questions. Coffee will be on hand in the morning.
- Besides horse communication, what else will I learn?
You will learn many things, including, how to handle a horse and rope in the round pen, hoof care, nutrition, the horse's relaxation points, about the horse's harness and hitch, and, of course, how to drive the horse.
- How familiar do I need to be around a horse?
We will provide a horse that suits each student. We have big horses and not so big horses. Team work between the students will be helpful to make all comfortable.
- Can I bring my own horse for the ground work portion of the training?
You can bring your own horse for the ground work portion during the school, but you must contact us ahead of time to make arrangements. There will be an additional charge for working your horse and that will be determined at the time you contact us.
